Some $$$$ with that wine?
2006-01-25

Well, it is official, we were approved for a re-fi on the house. We're borrowing a bizzilion or so dollars to pay off debt accumulated during the recent bout of getting not really paid by the government because the damn company I worked for shut down again. We're also taking some out to have the house sidded. Yippee...
While it will be nice to have no secondary debt, it will kind of be a pain to have a mortgage that is just under 400 more then we are paying today. On the plus side, it is only for ten years so hopefully I'll live long enough to burn that sucker up some day. This is a good thing.
Mortgages are one of those things were the Yacht Club connection pays off. Neil is doing the note, Roger will do the closing. Both of them do it for a way discounted rate that will save a bunch of money. While it always pays to have friends in low places, friends in medium level places don't suck either.
Oh and our credit scores are the highest they've ever been. Aparently unemployment and bills = good credit scores. Who knew?
Things are still in turmoil here at the plant. There has been much yelling and finger pointing. We are still on very shaky financial ground. Our biggest customer is still very pissed at us and a woman we fired last week has a: threatened to sue us and b: report us to imigration for hiring illegals. The last one is not true. At least today it isn't. We'll see.
Puppy had a nice birthday and got some new chew stuff, his favorite. I didn't get any painting done since some of the paperwork required for the mortgage required sitting at the YC bar drinking wine. I am VERY good at this part of refinancing.
M.E tried to do her part by attempting to cook. The gesture was appreciated, the results were not. she tried to cook a spagetti squash. Step one is cut them down the middle the long way, step two, remove the seeds, then cook. She did neither. Fun, fun, fun. I managed after much seed scooping and a few burned fingers to fix both and dinner was saved. Yea me.
Tonight I'll try and get back on track with the home stuff. We'll see.
Well, happy Humpday all. I hope it's a good one for all of us.
Later
