It really has hit the fan... After a good day with mostly positive things and peace, all hell broke loose yesterday. Our biggest customer, Yellers account has major problems. We glue these inserts in several products and the glue, it isn't staying glued.
The owner was at the customers, making a presentation. They opened up boxes together and parts fell apart right in front of his eyes. This did not sit well and he went after Yeller, who responded by, well, Yelling. The owner and Yeller are no longer talking which put you know who right smack in the middle of the two wonderful...
The whole day was spent under much pressure, and lots and lots of screaming. I had to visit both our suppliers and calm things down, and then try to smooth things over here too all the while trying to solve the problem. Nice....
One of the things we proved was that our testing is making things worse. Our evaluation has two theories, one, thee is somethign on the chrome that is causing the glue not to stick, and two, heat cold cycling from shipping may be a factor. Both are being tested now.
The problem is we need t ship a ton of these by Monday and we don't know what to do. Hopefully answers will be coming from last nights test. If not, Hang on, this ride is going to get awful bumpy.
