Ding dong the witch is dead. A stake has been driven through the blood sucking vampire. The evil empire has been vanquished. Good old George who spent almost 200 million dollars on this fine collection of the greatest chokers in the history of baseball was no where to be found. I am sure in Yankeeland that there will be hell to pay today and Red Sox Nation will smile.
We couldn't sleep after it was over. Dispite the fact that it was way after midnight we just couldn't sleep. We watched the celebration, the interviews, the analysis. Nobody burnt any cars or caused any trouble. Thousands of people spontaniously showed up at Fenway Park.
I'm dragging serious butt today, but it is totally worth it. Curse of the Bambino? Who's your daddy? Dead, dead, dead.... In the future Yank fans can taunt all they want, but they just had the biggest el foldo in the HISTORY of baseball and the Sox did them in game 7 in their own house. Sweet....
The world series starts Saturday and life here in New England just doesn't get any better. And life goes on.
